Greetings to all this fine week after Thanksgiving. It’s a mere 4 weeks till the Big Guy makes his annual appearance down your Chimney (Christmas, Christmas ,Christmas) There I said it and I hope no one was offended by the use of the ‘C' word. It’s my favorite time of the year.So let's do “This week in Rock and Roll History” first:
This week in Rock, the band “Beau Brummells” guest star on the Flintstones - this week in 1965. And the late great George Harrison of the Beatles dies this week of cancer in 2001
Friday Night we were at Davy's, and Black Friday came and went. The roads were empty by 9pm up around the Chenango Forks way. That's because all the people were in the bar at Davy's. It was a great crowd once again as well as a great show by the band. (Actually the last 5 or 6 gigs have been outstanding) we're due for an off night – but it didn't happen this weekend. We once again blew the doors down as both KW and Darrell were all on their marks. Sweet! We even had a guest appearance by none other than John Davies. It’s been a while since we seen ya bro, nice job on the Medley.
Then Saturday afternoon we went to the "Larry and JoAnn Stanley” wedding in Newark Valley. We had a great time there as we all who toasted the bride and groom and threw down a few bowling games to boot. It was my first reception at a bowling alley, but ya know - it works!
Then on to the Hitchin’ Post an another acoustic unplugged show. We finally feel comfortable with this process and it's really beginning to show. The house was packed and we were actually asked to play over for another hour. We will return on December 19th to do it again.
Now on to this week. Do I hear a triple gig weekend plus? Yep, you got it! Friday night we’re back up to Davy's for an encore performance around 9pm. Then Saturday night we’re back to the Central Hotel in Nineveh Junction. The show begins there at 6:30pm.
Then, Sunday at 10am we’re back to the studio one more time to continue work on the Full Circle CD. Then on to McBride's in Windsor to play a benefit for our good friends Beanie and Johnny Brown. They just got married in the spring and now Beanie’s dealing with cancer. So, once again we support the cause and hope you all can as well. The Benefit will be held up to McBride's this Sunday at 2pm in Windsor. We hope to see you all there.
Thank you and peace,
Mikee^ Dee
