There is one last note from the Jamboree Committee. The final numbers are in and after it was all said and done we were able to raise just over $2,300.00 for the Afton Food Bank. Every year we earn a little bit more money. To date we have raised over $7,000.00 in the past four years. This event started out to just to help feed people - what a novel concept. Thanks again to all of you for your support.
We hope to have an official hand-off sometime in the very near future. We will keep you informed as it happens.
Last week's show at Davy's was good. We had a funny crowd though, where the crowd comes in, has a drink or two, and leave. Then, an hour later the place fills up and the same thing happens all over again. This goes on until the last set. (Strange but true)
Thanks to all of our friends that did stop by to say hello. We truly appreciate the support.
This Friday we have a single show weekend planned at The Hitchin' Post, On Rt 7 (Belden Hill)
The show begins 8:00pm. There’s never a cover for the Short Change Band, so stop down for a bite to eat, say Hello to D.J. and check out the band. What a plan. (TGIF Baby)
Be well and don't forget to pencil us in on the refrigerator calendar for Friday night while it's fresh in your mind.
As we close here, God Bless the "Duck" Dunn who gave us "Green Onions" with Booker T and the M.G.s back in the sixties. He passed away over the weekend at the age of 70.
And Special thanks to the Pawn Shop band for letting me sit in and play a bit of percussion with the crew. What a blast! (Rock on)
