Short Change Band - Bike Night in June, 2012 at the Hitchin Post

Greetings to you all, it looks like I'm just about ready to turn the event calendar over for the second half of 2012- Where is the time going? It feels like its "evaporating' or something in the summer heat. Anyway On to last week’s review:

Last Thursday night at the Hitchin' Post Bike Night, amazingly enough we completed yet another rain- free show out under the stars. It was a great night with a great crowd. Thanks to you all for coming out and helping to support "local musical acts" such as the “Short Change Band”.

This week - once again there’s one private show and one public show.

Saturday evening once again we will be at The Infamous Central Hotel and Tavern in Nineveh.  The show time is 6pm and hopefully the good weather will allow us to embark on an outdoor pavilion show, so pack a lawn chair just in case.

Be well, be happy, be good, have a great week and we will catch you all down the line.

Peace,

Mikee^ Dee

Short Change Band - Mid June, 2012

What a fantastic weekend for playing music outside.  The weather was perfect and the crowd was good. We’d like to thank Bill and Candy for asking us to play up to Taylor's graduation party. It was good to see some faces we haven't seen in quite some time.  We had a blast!

On to this week, we have one show on the board for this week.

THURSDAY NIGHT 6/21- BIKE NITE & CANS AND CLAMS SPECIAL (FIRST DAY OF SUMMER TOUR)

LIVE AT THE HITCHIN' POST - HIGH ATOP BELDEN HILL

OUTSIDE ON THE DECK- THE SHOW STARTS 6:30PM

Stop by and say “hello” and get out on your bike and ride!

This is a short and sweet blog.  Be well, be good, and be safe and have a great week.  I’ll talk to you again after the fest.

Peace,

Mikee^Dee

Greetings to you all once again.  We had a simple weekend so this week’s addition will be just that - “simple”

I’m hoping your weekend went well and everything is good in all of your worlds.  On to the shows:
Friday evening's show down in Hallstead, PA started out nice with a good crowd and by 11pm we played basically to a crowd of a chosen few.

Saturday we were up to Annie's Bar & Grill and it was much better crowd as we actually played for and enthusiastic bunch of folks that acted as the tool that got the band rollin’.  Musically, (by the last set) we were rolling nines on a scale from 1 to 10 in music quality.

D.D. had his new 5 string bass out that evening and it seemed to kick the show up a notch or two for sure. Check out our celebration picture.  (Great show!)

We're still doing our latest album promo deal through the month of June "Buy one at $10 and get the second for free” - You can't beat it!  (The power of music)

Saturday we will be playing a private graduation party and next Thursday we revisit “BIKE NIGHT” at the Hitchin' Post on June 21st at 6:30pm.

Now you know what we know, so c'mon out when you can and pick up our latest copy of our CD “Just About to Lose My Mind"

Be well, be good, and stay in touch, and like Willie Nelson was singing last week on the annual CMT awards – “Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die"  (I think he's talking about a Harley burning tires here - don't you?)  We love Willie!

Peace,

Mikee^Dee

Short Change Band - Beginning of June, 2012

Well hello to all and welcome to the month of June.  My goodness where is the year going?  Before you know it the year will be half over.  I think the older we get the faster they go by (Don’t they)
I just returned back from a quick tour on the motorcycle today.  A group of us went to the 13th annual “Thunder in Forge" motorcycle event in Old Forge, NY.  It was a continuation in the Support of our Wounded Warriors. [Military families]

This event has been running for the last thirteen years and Coors Beer is a national sponsor.  The Wounded Warriors were the focus of this year’s event, so we picked a great year to attend, especially for such a worthwhile cause.

The weather was rainy and cold for the most part and I think that had a lot to do with the light attendance numbers. But that did not stop us from having a great time.  Check out myself with Dr. Mike in the picture above.  What a character he was!  We actually partied both Friday and Saturday together.  You meet so many cool veterans at these events.  I love it!  (They’re good people)  This was a picture of us hanging out at the local Veterans Legion in the town of Webb on Saturday.

On Sunday we headed over to Warrensburg/Lake George for the start of “Americade”.  One can only take so much “wetness” and by Monday morning we were ready to make the journey home in the rain once again.  Not to mention I had some equipment malfunctions with Elmo so the both of limped home so to speak. But we made it back all safe and sound.

I'm (so) done with the wet-ass riding thing for a while (I can tell you that much) It was nice to get in that dry truck.  It felt good yesterday for the first time in four days.

This week’s schedule for the band is as follows:

Friday Night we venture back over the state lines to The Hallstead American Legion The show time is 8pm.  And as always no cover and take advantage of the great legion drink prices too.

Saturday we’re at Annie's Place on Old Rt. 17 in Windsor/Damascus for an early show and Golf Tournament Party.  The show time is 2pm.  All our fans are welcome to stop in.

Have a great week and we hope to see you all out and about this weekend.

Peace,

Mikee^^Dee
